This forum goes along with the EOC Underground website ( www.lordalford.com/engieoc). Use this as a means for increasing your test scores, ranting about the beast, or just pontificating as the need arises. The objective here is the same as the website - to be better prepared for the test. I feel that we are too often recreating the wheel - if we had communication with each other then we could really take off! Good luck! I know that at first postings will be sparse, but in time I hope this to be a great resource for us all.

My first time on forum. Had Eng.I until Tuesday before school started on Thursday. Have always had great scores, but last year had to deal with death of both sisters and my mother. Still had decent scores even though two or three students in other English I school assisted programs were under my umbrella but i had never laid eyes on them So the new principal and the new, young want a be shining star and net-worker changed me to English II and the Tenth grade writing test. I have no problem with this. I Know I can get great scores. I have had the highest scores in the South Eastern District before and feel much less pressure than I did with English. I am using the NC Coach Writing for 10th grade as my main writing workbook. I am also using the Buckle Down on NC Writing workbook as my supplementary work and homework. I'm so tickled to be out of the 9th EOC that I could do cartwheels if I was still capable. Hope they plan on moving me when the English I EOC becomes a tenth grade test. Have 19 years in on November, 19th and can retire with 25 years in 61/2 years. However the longer it takes for the NC Government to give us our pay steps back at our correct wage step the longer I shall have to work for that highest three year magic salary; which decides on our retirement finances and checks. Shall our low wages be retroactive, like the last time this happened in the 80's or are we going to have to work extra years in the hopes of catching up to our planned retirement balance. As far as insurance......Whats to say: premiums costs more, doctors office co-payment has gone up, and now one must visit your family doctor once a month to get any medication refilled; Which by the way is considered an appointment with the doctor and costs you the one in medical need another 30 bucks.

The money issue is a joke, you're right. I love it at our EOC Administrator's meeting when they read out the part that says we could have our ABC money revoked if we don't follow all the rules of ethics. Sounds to me like you are right on target to be ready for the the new and improved 10th Grade EOC along with the new Common Core Standards. Bet you're thrilled to death.
